Guerra Steakhouse may be relatively new to Arlington’s dining scene, but it’s already generating buzz. Its first diners have exclusively granted Guerra perfect five-star reviews, raving about the quality of the steak, service, and atmosphere. It’s certainly welcome news for the Guerra family, who opened the steakhouse as an homage to their late patriarch, Ermides Guerra. He passed along his love of fresh food and fine steak, which inspired his children and grandchildren to take this leap of faith in opening an eatery.
Unsurprisingly, the steaks are really the star of the dinner menu. They’re all USDA Choice cuts, aged for 21 days before they hit your plate. Savor the eight-ounce filet mignon wrapped in bacon or devour a 12-ounce New York strip. If you want to share with your dining companion, the 32-ounce Cowboy steak should provide plenty of sustenance. Each steak arrives with a side of mashed potatoes, but you can also add creamed spinach, crispy Brussels sprouts, or one of the other signature small plates. Don’t forget to check out the wine list, as well. It’s full of vino pours that pair perfectly with the steaks—and the roster of craft cocktails will impress your taste buds, too.
