Start a New Hobby This Year at the Arlington Arts Center

  |     |   Uncategorized

Was your New Year’s resolution to try something new, or maybe to make space to cultivate your creative side? The Arlington Arts Center. Part gallery, part educational center, the local nonprofit fosters a community that’s well-versed in art and filled with creators of all skill levels. It started working toward this mission back in the ‘70s and hasn’t stopped since.

Check out the roster of upcoming public classes to see what’s on tap for 2022! The art educators usually host seasonally inspired sessions—for instance, last month, they held a luminary-making workshop with a holiday theme. Even if you’re a total novice, you should have no trouble keeping up with the instruction at these beginner-friendly classes. Looking to be more of a spectator than a participant? Then see what’s on display at the Arlington Arts Center. It’s gallery hosts an ever-changing lineup of works by local artists. Every few months brings something new, but you can still catch Patrick McDonough: Portrait of a County by a Youngish Man in the Jenkins Community Gallery. It’s an homage to the county’s maintenance employees and all of the important work they do for the community.
